Chartered Accountancy is a correspondence course. The basic study materials are provided by the respective Insitutes on registration. The students have to study themselves and prepare for the exams. 1. Who are Chartered Accountants?
Chartered Accountants are Accounting Professionals. Students after completing the articleship training and qualifying final examination become Chartered Accountants. 2. Who can join Chartered Accountancy?

Under ICAN-Nepal
Student who has cleared or appeared in final year of 10+2 or equivalent in any stream (Science/ Management/Humanities etc) can study Chartered Accountancy starting from CA foundation. Student who has already passed bachelor or degree with prescribed percentage can directly join CA Intermediate without any restrictions.

Under ICAI-India
Student who has passed the SLC examination may register for Common Proficiency Test (CPT) and continue +2 simultaneously. It is the entry level test in the pattern of entry level test of engineering, medical and other professional courses. Graduate or Post-graduate student should also register and pass CPT to start Chartered Accountancy.

3. Is it possible to do CA along with Graduation?
Yes, Students can join CA Course and bachelor simultaneously. In fact students doing CA and BBS/MBS/MBA simultaneously are found doing better in their university exams.

4. How can students join CA Classes?
They should get registered with Concerned Board (ICAN or ICAI) and can join Prime Chartered Academy for exam preparation classes. Prime also assists students to get registration with ICAN (The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal) and ICAI (The Institute of Chartered Accounts of India).

5. When does registration for CA course open? When are the examination held?
Registration is open throughout the year both under ICAI and ICAN. Under ICAN, exams are held in every June and December. Registration should be done one year prior to the desired exam dates. Under ICAI, exams are held in every May and November for IPCC and Final level and in June and December in case of CPT. Registration should be done before the specified period.
